Lion Posts
This old and rare pair of lion-topped posts are from the Xian area of Shan Xi Province in China. They were probably installed at the entrance to a bridge as protector figures. The hand-carved granite posts have a tapered bottom that was sunk into the ground on either side of the bridge.
